Double Goer, Solo Exhibition at the North Dakota Museum of Art, Grand Forks, ND (May 23rd - August 25th, 2024)
Double Goer plays on the literal translation of the German word, doppelgänger. Pairs, doubling, and shared likenesses are common throughout the exhibition. Replicas of personal objects, bones, and subjects from nature are employed to communicate transformation and to blur the line between production and ritual. Unlike the purpose of the doppelgänger in folklore, Double Goer’s intention is not to deceive, but rather to create a sense of things repeating themselves.
